That is why the turban snails´ protective lid is called Shiva´s Eye.The third eye of the goddess Shiva, located on her forehead between the eyebrows, protects from evil looks and is a symbol of wisdom and a higher level of consciousness. The same applies to the Shiva´s Eye shell which is a symbol for all the aforementioned. On the reverse side of the turban snail´s lid, there is a spiral pattern which has its own symbolic meaning: infinite movement, infinite evolvement and eternal reincarnation. All in all, a symbol for the many processes of development that influences a person´s life.
